 The family of the late highlife music legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu affectionately known as Daddy Lumba has made an important announcement regarding the venue for his one-week observation ceremony. Originally set for a different location, the ceremony will now take place at the Black Star Square (Independence Square) in Accra on Saturday, August 30, 2025. This change reflects the overwhelming public interest in honoring the musical icon following his passing on July 26, 2025. His death has sparked a significant outpouring of grief and tributes from fans across Africa.

In a statement released on Thursday, the family acknowledged the adjustment and expressed their sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. They appreciate the understanding of all who plan to attend.
