Case Management in Superior Courts Now Centralized by Acting Chief Justice.

 Acting Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie has directed that all newly filed cases in Ghana's superior courts be submitted to him for assignment and scheduling.

Acting Chief Justice of Ghana, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, has issued a directive to centralize the assignment and scheduling of all newly filed cases and applications within the nation’s superior courts. 

In a memorandum dated April 23, 2025, and issued by the Deputy Judicial Secretary, Registrars of the High Courts, Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme Court are instructed to bring all new cases and applications to the attention of the Acting Chief Justice. 

This directive encompasses the assignment of courts, the empaneling of judges when multiple courts are involved, and the scheduling of hearing dates.

The memorandum states that this new directive supersedes all previous directives and will remain in effect until further notice.
