Football Star Thomas Partey Charged with Rape by Metropolitan Police

 The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has granted the Metropolitan Police Service authorization to charge Thomas Partey, the former Arsenal midfielder and current Black Stars player, with multiple serious offenses, including five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. This decision comes following an extensive investigation by detectives who reviewed a comprehensive file of evidence submitted to the CPS.

The allegations involve three separate women and span over a period between 2021 and 2022. Specifically, two counts of rape are connected to one individual, three counts of rape pertain to a second victim, and the sexual assault charge involves a third person.

The inquiry began in February 2022 when the police received the initial report of rape, prompting a thorough investigation into the claims against Partey. As a result of the findings, the Metropolitan Police has now issued formal charges against the 32-year-old midfielder, who resides in Hertfordshire.
